Personal Trainer Pilates Instructor Nutrition Counselor
An active child, Whitney’s parents insisted on sports to build drive and character, as well as preserve their own sanity! When varsity commitments of soccer, track and softball increased, she focused on swimming year-round. From age 15 Whitney coached swimmers ages 4-65 competing in the summer leagues.
At the University of Virginia, Whitney took a much deserved competitive break from the chlorine, but fearing the “freshman fifteen,” took fitness into her own hands. Concocting a training regimen to strategically optimize her body type and developing a diet to effectively fuel those workouts, she became more lean and defined than the insecure years under coach’s wing, and finally, proud of her body. Others took notice and she began helping friends with their fitness goals.
After UVA, Whitney moved to Washington, DC where she earned an MBA, focus in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and various health and fitness certifications. She taught group exercise classes and built a
private training, Pilates and nutrition clientele around her 9-5 advertising career. Eventually finding it more gratifying to help clients achieve personal goals than company sales quotas, she left the corporate world to pursue fitness and health full-time. Despite a rapidly growing business and a reputation as “DC’s Trainer to the Stars,” Whitney sought the warmth and energy of Los Angeles in 2009. Whitney successfully harvested clientele independently before fusing forces with the love of her life
